It is the 1870′s, and war rages between the world’s great powers on a scale never before seen!
At sea, mighty Battle Groups clash; lines of giant smoke-belching Dreadnoughts and Battleships hammer one another in mortal combat, supported by flotillas of smaller craft. Between the thunderous engagements of massed war fleets are dozens, if not hundreds, of lesser skirmishes. From the war lashed North Sea to the most remote of backwater trade routes, roving packs of cruisers, Destroyers and Submarines hunt down the merchant shipping of the enemy.
Dystopian Wars is an alternative history miniatures combat game system where the discovery & utilisation of alien technology has altered the progress of humanity & it's ability to wage war with ever more spectacular weapons & craft. Combat takes place at sea; on land; & in the air, though for the moment The Gathering Gamers have been concentrating on the naval aspect of the game - but rest assured: the conflict will spread...

Dystopian Wars League
We are planning on starting a new league in November. The plan is for it to run until May and have the finals before Conclave. So if you are going to enter you can have an eye towards Conclave as it should be similar rules.
Forces: 1000 points; Naval Core points.
Allies and Mercenaries will not be allowed.
TAC card's are optional: as long as both Commanders agree then they can be used.
Mission Cards are to be used.
Points system will be a bit different:
Crushing win: 5 points
Marginal win: 3 Points
Draw, or loss: 1 point (because with a draw in war, no one wins)
Hopefully this will promote Fleets going for the win as a draw is as good as a loss.
